“Women continually seek a creative solution—listening for ideas, adjusting their understanding of what is important, and asking for relevant details.”
-Harvard Business Review, “How Women Decide”
In the swarm, we leverage our collective intelligence and use our natural strengths as women to help one another problem solve in our businesses and careers. The Emerging Women facilitator instructs you in the swarm process and then places you into a small group of women. The facilitator then guides you with prompts through a brainstorming process for each woman’s challenge. Think of this like a peer mentoring session with a group of strategically-minded, impact-oriented conscious leaders.
Kelly Dwyer is the Director of Strategic Planning & Operations for Emerging Women. In this role, she leverages more than 20 years of cross-functional leadership experience in startup and high-growth environments to create and implement new products, programs and systems that support Emerging Women’s growth.
Career highlights include founding and running a successful outdoor yoga adventures company, being a part of three venture-funded companies who had successful exits (1 acquisition and 2 IPOs), serving as a Fund Manager for BRVentures (Cornell’s venture capital fund), working in Nepal as a strategy consultant, participating in lululemon’s 2003 launch in the US, and guiding others as a career coach and yoga teacher.
Feeling stuck? Pitch your problem to the group in monthly Swarm and let the hive mind help brainstorm a way through. Using breakout technology, members of the Emerging Women community can share advice from their own experiences, contacts from their trusted networks, and innovative, collaborative solutions that entrepreneurs and leaders just can’t come up with in isolation. Leverage the intelligence of the collective to dissolve barriers and keep you moving forward as a leader.
