So many world-changing women feel the call to write a book. So why is it so difficult to get the project started–or finished? For two decades, Kelly Notaras has been a professional book editor–working at HarperCollins, Penguin, Hyperion and Sounds True. For the past 12 years she’s worked exclusively with transformational nonfiction, including self-help, personal growth, spirituality and inspirational memoir. Her mission is to help purpose-driven authors get their life’s work to the page, and during this Power Boost she’ll offer some of her most useful tips for making the leap from “writer” to “author”–as well as leaving plenty of time for Q+A and live coaching on your book’s topic, overcoming writer’s block, and more.
Kelly Notaras has been editing books for 20 years. She started her career in New York City—working in the editorial divisions of HarperCollins, Penguin USA and Hyperion Books. She later relocated to Boulder, Colorado where she served as the VP and Editorial Director at Sounds True, a multi-media spirituality publishing company.
Kelly has been honored to edit books by Adyashanti, Reggie Ray, Sharon Salzberg, Krishna Das, David Deida and Sally Kempton, as well as the New York Times bestsellers The Tapping Solution by Nick Ortner and Pussy: A Reclamation by Regena “Mama Gena” Thomashauer.
Kelly is the CEO of kn literary arts, a full-service book studio helping authors write, edit and market their work. Her book, THE BOOK YOU WERE BORN TO WRITE: Everything You Need to (Finally) Get Your Wisdom Onto the Page and Into the World, will be published by Hay House in November 2018.
